Simply yet glamorously decked up in fluffy orange sandals, faded blue jeans and a saffron kurta with the words “Jai Siya Ram” and imprints of Lord Hanuman on it, the mesmerizing actress dropped in at the office of Dale Bhagwagar Media Group at Oshiwara, Mumbai, where PROP is being held.

The film became one of the biggest hits of that year but the actress never seemed to have capitalized on that. She is yet to be seen by the Hindi audience again though she did a couple of South Indian films.

However Sonal says she is confident that she has not lost out on anything and when she returns with her next film the audience will know it was worth wait. “I don’t think people will be disappointed when they see me again,” she says. Sonal will be next seen in MF Hussain’s son’s Owais Hussain’s movie.

sonal321 Sonal Chauhan set for a modern day fairy taleSonal Chauhan — the model-turned-actress who made her debut in Bollywood with Jannat — is on cloud nine these days.

The actress has been signed on by veteran painter MF Hussain’s son Owais Hussain for his directorial debut tentatively titled Punjab 69. The film — a fairy tale of sorts set in modern times — has Anurag Sinha of Black and White fame playing Sonal’s love interest, revealed an insider.

A source said, “Sonal is very excited about this film. She found Owais very creative and was looking forward to working with him ever since she read the script.”

sonal241 MF Husain’s son in bizarre accidentsEveryone, including the director Owais Husain who shot in Chandigarh last week for his directorial debut, has come back shaken.
If there was a survey of the most accident-prone film ever made in India Owais’ film would qualify handsomely.

“You could say that again,” the director laughs mirthlessly, his fractured hand tucked away in a sling. “I didn’t know I broke my wrist until it got swollen like a dolphin out of the water. I was painting on the bricks walls of ruins in a broken-down home in Chandigarh when a wall caved in and I slipped to the ground.I continued working. But after a point the pain got to be too much. So I asked someone from the unit to take me to a doctor. He informed me there were several hairline fractures on my hand.”
