The latest Bollywood entrant to Kannada film industry is Jannat girl Sonal Chauhan.

The lass is making her debut with Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu opposite Shivarajkumar. “I love love stories and this film being one, it was hard for me to reject the offer. Shivarajkumar being the hero came as a bonus,” she says.

In Cheluve… Sonal plays a simple, girl-next-door character. The film is about how her life changes for the better and her faith in love is reinstated after meeting the hero, a tour guide.

Now, a dost from Delhi has buzzed to give me this tidbit on Sonal Chauhan. For the ill-informed, she’s the one-film-wonder who disappeared after a hit debut in Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi. But that’s not deterring people from calling her to launch some or the other store.

Khair, the lissome lass had gone to the Capital to open a jewellery store the other day, and was hoping to return to Mumbai by the 4 pm flight. But the zaalim baadals had other plans and they opened and how!

It was meant to just an ordinary ad for SRK but it was a big day for our Bollywood starlet Sonal Chauhan — the dusky beauty who was last seen in Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi.

The moment the ad was aired, Sonal’s online pages are flooded with compliments from the audience.

“The kind of response which I have been getting for the ad is superb. We shot the ad 25 days back and I had a great time in shooting for the ad,” says the beautiful actress.

Sonal Chauhan, the dusky beauty who was last seen in Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi, is back with a ‘brand’ in a new advertisement for Dish TV with none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.
“Yes actually, we have finished with the shoot for the ad about 25 days ago and currently it is being aired on TV networks,” says the beautiful actress.

Talking about working with SRK, she says, “It was such a pleasure to shoot with SRK. Firstly, I am a big admirer of his, so when I was approached for the ad by the ad director, I was more than willing. There was no way I was going to say no.”

It has been over two years that Sonal Chauhan debut in Jannat. The film became one of the biggest hits of that year but the actress never seemed to have capitalized on that. She is yet to be seen by the Hindi audience again though she did a couple of South Indian films.

However Sonal says she is confident that she has not lost out on anything and when she returns with her next film the audience will know it was worth wait. “I don’t think people will be disappointed when they see me again,” she says. Sonal will be next seen in MF Hussain’s son’s Owais Hussain’s movie.

‘Jannat’ actress Sonal Chauhan is on cloud nine these days following her recent shoot for an ad with Shah Rukh Khan. Sonal wanted to look her best for the shoot with SRK. So, Sonal couldn’t just let anyone take care of her face and hair. In fact, she always insists on having her makeup done only by stylist Ojhas, who has works with Bollywood beauties likes of Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor. But Ojhas was not in the country and Sonal tried the hair and makeup artist, who the production house suggested. Sonal also tried the other stylist, but she wasn’t happy. One look at the bridal lehengas that the leggy models displayed on the ramp was enough to make the women drool with envy!

The occasion? Bright Outdoor Advertising completing 30 glorious years with Riyaz Gangji’s stunning bridal wear show. As models like Simran Kaur Mundi, Alecia and Anjali Raut stepped out in dazzling lehangas with cutwork and zardosi embroidery, Riyaz said, “Yogesh Lakhani is a dear friend and since his company celebrated 30 magnificent years, we agreed to do a show for him.” Imtiaz Motiwala complemented the show with a stylish jewellery collection for the occasion. The beautiful Sonal Chauhan was the showstopper for the evening and the lady looked gorgeous as she walked the ramp with Riyaz himself. Choreographed by Bunty Grewal, the fashion show was a big hit, along with Sanober Kabir and Ishq Bector’s performances.
