Meet the savvy Sonal Chauhan who takes her first step in Sandalwood, with her debut Kannada film opposite Shivrajkumar

Not camera shy, Sonal Chauhan was first seen on screen in Himesh Reshammiya’s album. This young lass also modelled for various ramp shows as well as commercials. Her first film debut was with Mukesh Bhatt’s Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi. She later played a lead role in the Telugu film Rainbow. Sonal is now starring opposite Shivrajkumar and shooting with him for the Kannada film Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu, due to release this year. She’s also familiarising herself with the language.

Sonal Chauhan, the actress from Jannat movie, decorating the cover of “The Man” magazine, planned to launch again herself in the Bollywood. Sonal Chauhan was acting with Rahul & Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu in south film industry to enhance her acting talents. Now Sonal thinks that she is fit and well skilled to relaunch herself in Bollywood.

She is currently working on the project of Owais Hussein and changing herself from a model to an artist. Owais is the son of M F Husain popular as Madhuri Fida Hussain. The movie is named as Punjab 69, is a directorial debut of Owais. Jannat movie against Imraan Hashmi, was her first Bollywood project.

Sonal wants to be in top shape for M F Hussain’s son Owais Hussain’s directorial debut. The next schedule roles in October and the Jannat actress has been gymming religiously for a svelte body. For the past month she has been working out with celebrity trainer Prashant Sawant who is best known for helping Shah Rukh Khan develop six packs abs in Om Shanti Om.

Kumar Taurani’s 50th birthday bash at his residence on Saturday night was one fun affair. And like all cool parties do, this one too started late (the fact that it was pouring cats and dogs was another reason guests arrived late) and ended late in the night… or should we say early in the morning!

Vashu Bhagnani came in with his son Jackky to wish his neighbour. Kumar’s brother Ramesh Taurani was also there, doing a bit of host-giri. Sanjay Kapoor was there for a short time, chatting with Sanjay Gadhvi and Sameer. Rajkumar Santoshi came with his better half while Ken Ghosh made a solo entry. Others who attended the house party were directors Kuki Gulati and Anthony D’Souza, Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon Mirza and Neeraj Pathak.

Yes, exactly this is what happened with Sonal Chouhan, the petite ‘Jannat’ fame bimbette. A fan was so impressed with her that he sent her a bouquet with more than 1000 flowers to weigh her with it.

“Sonal first got scared thinking she is been stalked, ” informs a source close to the actor. “But then she was pleasantly surprised as she realized that it wasn’t the case, ” further adds the source.
