Background: I belong to a Rajput family from Agra, but I have never lived there. My father is a police Inspector and my mother is a homemaker. I have two sisters and one older brother. So, I have quite a large family.

The third important female discovery was Mugdha Godse. Bold and uninhibited, she stood her ground in “Fashion” in spite of an author-backed part for Priyanka Chopra.

Prachi Desai, a fourth fabulous female debutante came earlier during the year. With her sweet and tender big-screen debut in “Rock On”, she proved that television stars do shine in cinema.

Among the many newcomers who made a lasting impression this year (2008) is the tall and sexy actress Sonal Chauhan. The babe debuted opposite Emraan Hashmi in Mukesh Bhatt’s Jannat and the movie even went on to become a Superhit, yet Sonal hasn’t been seen or heard of much since then.

Now, all Sonal fans would get to see their favorite actress in a brand new avatar. Sonal would be seen sharing the stage and performing alongside internationally acclaimed rockstar Bryan Adams at a gala event in January next year.

Seeing blacks and whites at red carpet events gets a little boring, so I was pleased to see Sonal (of Jannat fame) in a bit of colour. Loving the sculpted twist on the upper half of the dress. I just have a little problem digesting the long white fabric in the front. What do you think?
